There is no better time to launch a blog than at the beginning of a new year. It is amazing to me how many re-starts we get in life. God in Christ Jesus is in the business of giving us a "second wind" of grace to get us going again. "Tip your glass . . . here is to starting over!" Hopefully, you will join me in the journey. I would just love to see, and percieve, and understand more of who God is and how he works in this world despite his hiddenness and despite my sinfulness.
The initial reference point will be Deum justificare. This will be an attempt to regularly confess God as being in the right and perfectly justified in how he deals with me and others as well as all of creation. What this will look like as the blog rolls, I am not sure. But let's start where David regularly found himself. He says in Psalm 51:4 "Against you, and you only have I sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight, so that you are justified in your sentence and blameless in your judgment."
May God be shown to be in the right in my life and in yours as 2007 begins and may King Jesus grant us Shalom in the New Year~
